Discovered during my trip to Seoul! Korean-style eel enjoyed over charcoal

Hello! During my recent trip to Seoul, I experienced a way of eating eel that is completely different from that in Japan. This time, we will introduce you to that surprising experience.

What is Korean-style eel?

Korean-style charcoal-grilled eel is a slightly different way of eating than Japan's ``eel kabayaki'' and ``unagiju.''
Its characteristics are:

1. Grill it over charcoal right in front of you like yakiniku, then cut it with scissors and grill it until crispy.
2. Wrap and eat ginger, garlic, kimchi, Chinese cabbage, perilla leaves, etc.
3. タレをつけても良い(日本の蒲焼のタレに似ています)

With this unique Korean way of eating eel, I felt a new charm of eel!
The eel is slowly grilled over charcoal, making it plump and thick, with a texture that melts in your mouth.
The crispy and fragrant eel and the julienned ginger were exquisite, and it was so delicious that it was easy to eat and disappeared in no time.
(Charcoal grilling seems to be a key point)

Recommended restaurant: 장어세상 (Jangosesan, Unagi Saesan)

This time I visited a store called "Jang-eo sesang". Literally translated, it means "the world of eel/eel world."
It seems to be a chain store with several stores in Seoul.
